AVISO DE INTERÉS PÚBLICO

El Departamento de Asuntos del Consumidor (DACO, o el Departamento), se encuentra en proceso de adopción del REGLAMENTO DE CONDOMINIOS. Esta nueva reglamentación se promulga conforme a los poderes conferidos al DACO por virtud de las Leyes Núm. 5 de 23 de abril de 1973, y Núm. 129 del 16 de agosto de 2020, según enmendadas.

El REGLAMENTO DE CONDOMINIOS promulgado por el Departamento tiene el propósito primordial de proteger a los titulares de apartamentos sometidos al Régimen de Propiedad Horizontal, instruirlos con relación a sus deberes y responsabilidades y de reconocer el derecho de los mismos al pleno disfrute de sus apartamentos y de las áreas comunes, siempre que con ellos no se menoscabe el derecho de los demás titulares al disfrute de sus respectivas propiedades. Este Reglamento deroga el Reglamento Núm. 6728 y enmienda el Reglamento Núm. 9263.

Previo a su radicación en el Departamento de Estado, el DACO estará analizando los comentarios y sugerencias que, tanto los consumidores como los comerciantes, nos hagan llegar en o antes del 15 de septiembre de 2021, al siguiente correo electrónico: reglamentodecondominios@daco.pr.gov.  El Departamento también celebrará vistas orales, las cuales se llevarán a cabo los días 7 y 8 de septiembre de 2021, a partir de las 9:00a.m., en la Torre Norte del Centro Gubernamental Minillas (salón por definir).

Se solicita a quienes deseen asistir y expresarse durante las vistas orales, a informarlo por lo menos cinco días antes de la celebración de dichas vistas, para incluirlos en la agenda correspondiente a cada día. Para mayor efectividad en los procesos, se les solicita someter sus ponencias por adelantado al correo electrónico reglamentodecondominios@daco.pr.gov.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INTEREST

The Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO, or the Department), is in the process of adopting CONDOMINIUM REGULATIONS. This Regulation is promulgated according to the powers conferred to DACO by virtue of Laws No. 5-1973 and No. 129-2020, as amended.

The primary purpose of the CONDOMINIUM REGULTATIONS is to protect apartment owners subject to the Horizontal Property Regime, instructing them in relation to their duties and responsibilities and recognizing their right to the full enjoyment of their apartments and common areas, provided that they do not undermine the right of other owners to enjoy their respective properties. This Regulation repeals Regulation No. 6728 and amends Regulation No. 9263.

Prior to the filing of the aforementioned regulation in the State Department, DACO will be evaluating the comments and suggestions submitted to us by both consumers and merchants until September 15, 2021, to the following email: reglamentodecondominios@daco.pr .gov. The Department will also hold oral hearings on September 7 and 8, 2021, at Centro Gubernamental Minillas Torre Norte (room to be defined).

We request that those who wish to assist and express their positions during the oral hearings inform that to us at least five days before the celebration of these processes, in order to be properly scheduled. We also request to submit previously your arguments in writing to the email reglamentodecondominios@daco.pr.gov.
